My beautiful roommates

So, I'm not much of a blogger, but when a friend showed me this I knew I had to post. All of the girls below are amazing, talented women of God. I'm blessed to call them all friends! None of them are looking for a signifcant other, but will make a great teammate and partner for life one day!!

First up, my sister Kelsey. That's her, to the left. What a cutie eh? Kelsey is a senior photographer major at Arkansas State University. She is a fashionista, vegitarian, music lover and knower of any pop culture trivia, and has the biggest heart of about anyone I know. She never ever meets a stranger and she keeps all of us constantly laughing about something. We even have a twitter account dedicated to her random funny outbursts, kelseycherrysaid. There is no telling where Kelsey will end up, however my guess is we will see her in Nashville within the year working in artist relations for someone famous. You know everyone has those friends who want to make it big....this girl will. You can count on it.

Second on the list would be my roomate, Haley. That is her
to the right. Haley is a senior PR major at ASU. Let me just tell you....this girl is a hard worker. If she sets a goal, she always reaches it. She is smart, talented, and always has a smile on her face. When she isn't running around like crazy for her internship at the Foundation of the Arts, or with her job as a marketing coordinator at the #1 realestate company in Northeast Arkansas, she can be found reading, playing the piano at her church, or socializing. Haley never turns down the chance to socialize. She is constantly seeking to be a better person, to grow, and to help others....and this is something I like about her.

Next on the list, my best friend of 6 years, Megan. Megan is 26 and a new single mommy to her little man, Jude. That's them to the right cheering for the Redwolves at our bowl game. Megan is one of the most loyal people I know. She handles evey situation with grace and class, and is passionate about fighting for those who cannot fight for themselves. She is a socialworker in Jonesboro, and plans to start her masters program in August. When she is not taking care of my favorite little boy, she is raising awareness for human trafficking and doing everything in her power to end slavery. Megan can play the guitar and sing like a little bird. She is a lover of people, traveling, culture, and is a free spirit. She is a good listener, and loves her little boy more than anything.

The next person I find a true delight is my roomie Michelle. I call her Marcel, after that funny youtube video. Why, I'm not really sure. Michelle is the quiet one of the bunch. She is also the only red head. We all love that about her. She is sincere and finds satisfaction in helping those that are in need. She loves animals...I think she would have 10 stray dogs in the house if we would let her. You can trust this girl...she always keeps her word, and loves to invest in all of her friendships. She is a young one..only a sophomore, but is wise beyond her years. She is also is good at painting and singing, but she is really modest and would never say it out loud.

Well the last of us is me. I find it semi strange to talk about myself so I'm going to leave it at that.

Spring Semester at ASU..o how great!!! First of all let me start out by saying how blessed am I am to have a job. Not only that, but a job that I love and sincerely enjoy coming to work for everyday. College years are some of the best and I am thrilled to get to plan free and fun events alongside some amazing students.

Alongside me in picture 1, Michelle Stafford, otherwise known as Marcel. She is the cutest lil red head in town and our soon to be roomate!! What a blessing this little girl is to all of our lives.

Photo 2 is from Springfest! Fun at the Fair was our theme, and SAB did a great job making sure that the event was one to remember. My estimate is that over 2,000 students attended this event. The day was filled with entertainment, carvinal rides, free givaways, and of course carnival food.

Photo 3 was SAB's Day in the Park at the baseball field. I'm not to much of a baseball fan..unless there are fireworks, sunflower seeds, good conversation and such to accompany it, but this day was fun! Perfect weather, and SAB sang soulfully the 7th inning stretch.

Photo 4 is Shelby, JoNece, Colea, Candence, and I at the NACA convention in downtown STL. This convention is filled with 4 days of entertainment. Among some of our favorites...The Asia Project, Spencer West, Hana Pestle, Ryan Clauson, Dave Barnes, and Matt Corey. STL is sorta like a scene from the movie I am Legend, but fortunately the burbs have great shopping! This group of girls was beyond fabulous for this trip and I am so happy the 3 of them are SAB staffers for the upcoming year!!!

Photos 5 and 6 are from our end of the year Leadership Banquet. Melloney and Veronica were last years Editor and Co Editor for the Yearbook. With their help we had an amazing book which the student body seemed to really love. Photo 6 is all of the Gams who work for our office. What a great group of girls. Happy to be a part of this photo although it makes me feel old since i pledged over 6 years ago.

Latest book reads...

I love to read Rob Bell. He throws tons of questions out, leaves them slightly unanswered, and encourages his readers to seek truth and understand for themselves. Though Love Wins is considered a slightly controversial book in the christian faith I would definitely consider it a good read. I'm currently reading Jesus Wants to Save Christians and am finding it a bit harder to get into, but very easy to understand and exciting to read.

Offer Freedom

Want to make your purchases count? Buy from these sites to create sustainable business for women in Africa. We as women in America need to stand up for freedom and for our sisters around the world. We all buy presents for people for their birthdays, mothers day, christmas..etc..etc..etc. Why not buy something that will spread the love of Christ and offer freedom to women in crisis.
