Winter Sports

This weekend I went ice skating in Vienna at the Rathaus, and I went snowboarding at Semmering Mountain. Needless to say, after all of that..Im more sore than Ive ever been in my entire life. Ice skating was truly magical. My first time to ever skate on a rink outside. This is definitely something people should do if they come to Vienna. Only 12euro, so pretty cheap entertainment. Also, there is an inside tent area to warm up and eat right beside it. I had an amazing chai tea latte that tasted just like home. I didnt fall at all while skating, but I plenty made up for it when i started to learn to snowboard. First of all, there were no baby slopes and what was supposed to be the easy slope..im pretty sure was like a blue in the US. So..it took me 2 hours to make it down the mountain my first run. Id say I fell near 30 times, if not more. When I got to the bottom I got my board switched around..and that made all of the difference. My 2nd run down I only fell 7 times compared to 30..so I improved..then only 5 times my 3rd time down. Overall, I had a blast, but my body is one big bruise. Maybe next time I will stick with skiing. I came away from this trip spending only 35 euro. Pretty good for snowboarding all day :)
